JOHN DANKWORTH & CLEO LAINE

Some great out takes from John Dankworth's score to one of my all-time favourite films, The Servant. Joseph Losey's film features a spectacularly unnerving performance from Dirk Bogarde, the former Mr Matinee giving the household a good ol' polish meanwhile giving the master/servant divide a good ol' restructure. Great Pinter script. The soundtrack itself is hard to pin down (in fact I'm fairly certain it's not commercially available at all). Factgasm: The film features British folk innovator Davey Graham playing guitar ruefully in a bar scene. Also included below is the film's theme of sorts 'All Gone' as sung by Dankworth's wife, Cleo Laine. All feeling.

Thanks Matt!
