Sylvi(nh)a Telles' music has captivated me for years. Very subtle arrangements with a great deal of warmth. Compassionate music with a tremendous aura. All dat. Like Karen Carpenter had Bacharach, Sylvia had Jobim et al so the arrangements are obviously a treat. I just came across this video of her on Brazilian TV filmed, I imagine, shortly before her premature death. In the video she seems quite pensive but when she begins to sing her vocal is beautiful.
