KARIN KROG

Karin Krog is a Norwegian jazz vox supremo. She played in Soho last year (or maybe the year before?) and like a goose I forgot to go. 'The Meaning of Love' (taken from her 1974 Steve Kuhn collaboration 'We Could Be Flying') has some extremely A+ drumming - almost like drum sticks have been attached to drummer Jon Christensen's nerve endings. Her version of 'How Insensitive' (below) is ice cool and suitably detached. It also features Dexter Gordon who delves deep on his solo.
