Nigerian percussionist Gasper Lawal moved to England in the 1960s and went on to work with an assortment of musicians such as Ginger Baker, Joni Haastrup, the Rolling Stones and even Barbara Streisand. The track (below) is taken from his 1980 album 'AJOMASE.' Gasper also pops up having a rhythmic hoe-down in a train carriage with a very drunk Vivian Stanshall in a YouTube favourite of mine, 'Vivian Stanshall's Week.' Steve Winwood also features.
