Beautiful, submerged orchestra.

REBBIE JACKSON
Out of all the rich offerings from the family Jackson this has to be one of the oddest. "Centipede!" Taken from her debut album, recorded when she was 34.
MINISTRY
Here's some Ministry from when they were more of a synth-pop incarnation. The band has since largely rejected the record - I wholly dig it.

NANA VASCONCELOS & ANTONELLO SALIS
On a meditative tip this Tuesday evening. Hushed number from Brazil, 1987.

BENNY SOEBARDJA
One of the many gems found on the Indonesian psychedelia compilation 'Those Shocking Shaking Days.'
SANTO AND JOHNNY
The odd dreamscapes of Santo and Johnny Farina. There's a very haunted feel to most of their output which for me = win.

PHIL MANZANERA
LN-CC recently released a series of beautiful remixes of choice cuts from Phil Manzanera's solo output. The open minded (and eared) nature of Phil's originals is reflected in the remixes - a cross-continent excursion. I recommend you give them all a listen and after doing so, grab whatever copies they have left over the LN-CC store.
THE RAINCOATS
This remix by dub master Dennis Bovell has a Latin Rascals style mania to it. A joyride along the sea front in a stolen Skoda.

JORGE SANTANA
Carlos Santana's brother. The first Santana to feature on this blog but certainly not the last.

NAKARA
From Nakara Percussions, 1984. First heard this on Alexis Le Tan's 'Space Oddities' compilation.

KIKI GYAN
Soundway records have yet again let loose something quite special. Track the whole album down - it's great!

JULIE FELIX
Who'd have thought the prospect of a man dressed entirely in snakeskin would prove so appealing?

ANDREAS VOLLENWEIDER
The Todd puts his midas touch to good use on this little beauty from electric harp afficionado/new age maestro, Andreas.
TERRY REID
Surely the wriest face on any album cover in 1976. Team that with a white roll neck and you're on to a winner.
